On the stage again, jokeing that people continues to ask him about Web 3.0, Tim O’Reilly says that by now it’s more important to understand what can happen extending actual Web 2.0 in various directions, one of these being the mobile one… He’s now chatting with the vp of Nokia Multimedia, Ari Virtanen.

Actually a little bit disappointing: the questions from Tim were up to the point, but answers were generic and often “corporate”. E.g. “How do you see social networks on the phone? It’s a growing trend at the moment, being able to stay on-line all the time and in touch with my community is very important”, or “iTunes: is Ovi going in this direction? Ovi can be accessed from the pc or from mobile devices, so we want to make it the easier possible”, or “Google? It can accelerate the development and it’s good for the industry”.

Ok, mr. Virtanen made his personal best, but we expected a lot more from Nokia. Hope I’m wrong.

Time to leave now, so “Ciao Berlino” and all. I really enjoyed this conference. See ya.
